Recently I had a chance to host a McCormick Grill Mates Grill Ambassadors Party for my family and friends. I invited about 15 guests but as you know sometimes everyone can’t make it. We ended up having 10 guests. Ten seems to be the magic number that works really well for me when hosting a backyard bbq.
My son got up bright and early on the day of our party to get those ribs ready. We had the opportunity to sample some of McCormicks Grill Mates rubs, seasoning blends and bbq sauce.

We rubbed one rack of ribs with Grill Mates® Slow and Low Memphis Pit BBQ Rub. And the other rack we used the Grill Mates® Spiced Brandy & Herb Marinade.
Both tasted wonderful but my favorite was the Slow and Low Memphis Pit BBQ Rub. It was sweet and tangy.

Smoking Pork Ribs
On the menu besides those awesome pork spareribs was, old-fashioned potato salad, a pasta salad, and a garden salad with homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. I make a mean macaroni salad but this time I decided to make what I call Donna’s pasta salad. It’s a tri colored pasta salad that my sister in-law makes that I love. I’ll be posting the recipe soon.

Do you have any idea what torture it was smelling those ribs smoking all day and having to wait hours to eat them?
About a half hour before the ribs where due to come off the grill my son smothered them with Grill Mates® Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ Sauce. I love bbq sauce made with brown sugar. It really adds a nice sweet flavor that goes perfect on smoked ribs.
Juicy Smoked Ribs with McCormicks
The ribs turned out so juicy. They tasted awesome. Everyone had a great time hanging out together and enjoying the good food.
