Udi’s New Gluten Free Living Community
As you may know I am a community leader in the Ebates Savvy Living Community on The Blog Frog.
A few weeks ago I was invited to join the new Udi’s Gluten Free Living Community as a leader. I was honored to accept.
The brand sponsor of this new community is Udi’s Gluten FreeFoods.
They are the #1 producer of gluten free baked goods in the U.S. Not only are most of their products gluten free they are also soy free, dairy free and nut free, with the exception of their cookies which contain dairy and their granola which contains nuts.
The goal of the Udi’s Gluten Free Community is to also become the #1 resource for gluten free living information and support.
It’s to be the place for people with Celiac Disease, gluten intolerance or health minded people, who don’t have to eat gluten free, but have decided to eliminate gluten from their diet to come together and support one another.
Looking at my blog you might wonder why the author of a blog titled Flour On My Face, a very non gluten free blog might be asked to join this community as a leader.
You do not have to be gluten free to participate in this community. Maybe you’re curious about living gluten free? The community is not just for people who are currently living gluten free.
There are many people who are trying to live a healthier lifestyle by removing wheat from their diets. Or possibly you may have a friend or family member with a gluten allergy/intolerance.
By coming together in the community and asking questions or taking part in the discussions you can get a better understanding of what it is like to live a gluten free lifestyle.
Up until recently all I knew about Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance was that a person suffering from one of these two conditions must eat gluten free. A person who must live this life style cannot tolerate gluten (wheat) in their diet. It makes them ill.
For some people that might mean they suffer from digestive problems if they ingest gluten.
For others it may mean they are stricken with some very debilitating (auto immune) reactions their bodies have to even a speck of gluten entering their system.
Some people don’t even have to ingest the gluten but to breathe it in or have it come in contact with their skin for their bodies to have an allergic reaction to the wheat.
Celiac and gluten intolerance affect 1 out of every 133 people in the U.S. Odds are you or someone close to you, such as a famil
y member or friend are living a gluten free lifestyle.

Part of my role as a community leader is to spark conversations and offer support to the members of the community.
Chatting is something I’m pretty good at! I hope you decide to join me! Please join me in the community if you are curious or someone you know or love would benefit from the vast amount of knowledge in the community.
I will occasionally be sharing information on my blog about the community and Udi’s products. Hopefully by doing that I will be helping people who live with Celiac or gluten intolerance find the Udi’s Community where they can meet and share their experiences and find support while living a gluten free lifestyle.
There is nothing worse than suffering alone with a life altering condition.
The majority of my blog posts will still be about my recipes, cooking and baking.
But occasionally there will also be information about gluten free living. I hope you will find this information enlightening and also helpful in some way.
Thank you!
Arlene
