My Christmas dinner menu includes
Baked Ham
Turkey

Homemade Biscuits

Cranberry Bread
My families all time favorite cranberry bread recipe.
Mom’s Cranberry Bread
2 cup all purpose flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 cup sugar
1 egg well beaten
2 tablespoons butter melted
2 tablespoons hot water
½ cup orange juice
¼ cup grated orange rind
1 cup fresh cranberries
½ cup chopped nut optional
Sift together dry ingredients. Add egg, butter, hot water, orange juice and grated orange rind; stir until moistened. Fold in cranberries and nuts. Bake 70 minutes at 325 degrees in 2 well greased 9 x 5 x 3 loaf pans. Chill, wrap and refrigerate or freeze. Makes two, 1 pound loaves.
